Green and social policies

For several years, we have seen a global awareness of the environmental issues. The MICE Agency seeks to promote a Green MICE concept which aims to reduce carbon emissions and to be part of a sustainable development approach in harmony with the environment.

The concept of Green MICE is important for all actors working in the MICE industry. Could be for organizers like us but also for our suppliers (hotel, congress center, restaurant …) or participants to our events … The MICE Agency works on implementing specific actions before, during and after the event. Always keeping in mind the 3R principles : Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. During our events we should keep on thinking how we can: reduce travel distances, reduce energy consumption, reduce the amount of food consumed or donate excess food to charities, promote paperless meetings, use recycled ressources, reuse signage, use water jugs instead of plastic bottles…

By sustainable measures we are not only making business sense, we may even cut costs. And green practices can also attract environmentally minded customers. Smaller changes can make the difference at the end.

With every decision we make, we take the environmental, social and economic factors into account. We’re conscious of the environmental impact of our operations and aim to run our business in a manner that respects the environment. Service is important to every aspect of our business and we’re dedicated to provide it to our customers in a way that ensures a safe and healthy workplace for our employees and prevents further damage to the environment.

That’s why we work constantly to reduce the amount of plastic we use by gradually replacing it with paper. Right now, we’re carrying out changes to reduce the creation of general waste and allow us to use more eco-friendly disposal options. We tailor our waste management plan depending on the location but it’s always our aim to reduce waste in the first place. We believe in re-using and recycling as much as possible and send an absolute minimum of waste to landfill. We choose our suppliers carefully, making sure they share our philosophy on the environment. Working with these suppliers, we’re always eager to consider new packaging materials and initiatives that can help us reduce our impact on the environment even further.

Our agency includes charitable contributions as a regular part of our business model. In 2020, a donation has been made to La Fondation de France (www.fondationdefrance.org/en) for hospitals facing the pandemic and medical research. In 2022, we were able to provide food and supplies to refugees from Ukraine. During all the crisis, we have been helping at train stations, bringing donations to charities and hosting some refugees in our office. In 2023, following the Moroccan earthquake, we contributed to fundraising for the Tamounte Ouirgane Association, which campaigns for the improvement of the conditions of women and children in rural areas.
